Sandgyanchi bhaji is a truly Maharashtrian authentic, traditional recipe. This is a very easy ans simple recipe. It tastes delicious. Let's make sandgyanchi bhaji.

Ingredients

1 tsp Oil, 1 cup Sandge, 2 tsp Oil, 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds, 1/4 tsp Hing / Asafoetida, 7~8 Curry leaves, 1 cup Finely chopped Onion, 1 tbsp Kanda lasun masala, 1 cup Hot water, 2 tsp Roasted peanut powder, Salt to taste, Finely chopped Coriander leaves.

Method

Heat up oil in a pan and add Areva sandge.
1. Shallow fry sandge until they get nice red or brownish color. 2. T ake out sandge into a bowl. 3. Heat up oil in the same pan. Add cumin seeds and let them sizzle up. 4. Add hing, curry leaves and onion. 5. Mix well and fry onion until it gets nice golden colour. 6. Add kanda lasun masala and fry again for a minute. 7. Add sandge and coat them with masala. 8. Add hot water and mix well. Cover and cook on medium heat for about 15-20 minutes until they become soft. 9. But sandge should not lose their texture while cooking. 10. You can add more hot water if bhaji dries while cooking. 11. Add roasted peanut powder and salt. Mix well and cover and cook for another 2 minutes. Turn off the gas and add coriander. Sandgyanchi bhaji is already.It goes well with bhakri or poli.It goes well with rice as side dish.

Kurdaichi Bhaji (कुरडईची भाजी) is a very popular Maharashtrian recipe, mainly because it’s so delicious. Besides, kurdai chi bhaji is quick and easy to make. I make kurdai chi bhaji when I run out of vegetables and meat and my fridge is totally empty . It’s healthy, filling, and kids friendly too.

Ingredients

4 Kurdai / Crushed kurdai, 1 finely chopped Onion, 7~8 Curry leaves, 7~8 finely chopped Garlic cloves, 1/4 tsp Hing, 1/4 tsp T urmeric powder, Salt to taste, 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds, 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds, 1 tsp Red chili powder, 1 tsp Areva Kanda lasun masala, 2 tbsp Oil

Method

Crush kurdai into a bowl. Do not crush it finely .You can use crushed kurdai if you have. Add enough water. Cover and soak kurdai for about 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, drain the soaked through a strainer. Heat up oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds and let them pop up. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter. Add hing, garlic and mix well. Fry for about a minute. Add curry leaves, onion and mix well. Fry onion until it gets light golden color on medium heat for about 5-6 minutes. When onion begins to get light golden color add kanda lasun masala, red chili powder and mix well. You can use Areva kanda lasun msasala. Fry the spices for about a minute. Add soaked and drained kurdai, salt to taste and mix well. Cover and steam on low to medium heat for about 4-5 minutes. Turn off the gas and add coriander leaves. You can have kurdai chi bhaji with poli or bhakari. It goes well with rice too

MAKE MUTTON / CHICKEN CURRY IN 5 EASY STEPS

Ingredients

Chicken/Mutton, Onions, Dry Coconut, Garlic, Ginger, Red Chilli Powder both spicy (for taste ) and kashmiri (for Color),Oil, Salt and AREVA GARAM MASALA

Method

1. In a pan add 2 tsp, oil. When hot, add 2 large onions silced thin. Saute till the onions begin to turn a pale golden brown in color. Now remove onions and add 1 bowl grated dry coconut. Saute till the coconut begin to turn a pale golden in color.
2. Grind the onions coconut, garlic, ginger, 4 tsp. Red chilli Powder and 2 tsp. Areve Garam Masala into a smooth paste in a food processor.
3. Saute the resulting masala ( onion-coconut-spice mixture) until the oil begins to separate from it. This can take upto 10 min. to happen.
4. Now add the Mutton / Chicken pieces to the masala, season with salt to taste. Add suffcient water to make gravy. Saute till the mutton / chicken is cooked well.
5. Garnish with chopped coriander and serve with hot chapatis, Naans or boiled rice

Nutritious Recipe For Pregnancy and small Kids » Nachni Ladoos

Ingredients

11/2 cup ragi (nachni / red millet) flour, 6 tbsp pure ghee, 1/2 cup powdered sugar, 1/4 tsp cardamom (elaichi) powder 2 tsp roasted poppy seeds (khus- khus)

Method

Heat the ghee in a broad non-stick pan, add the ragi flour and cook on a slow flame for 4 to 5 minutes or till it turns golden brown in colour, while stirring continuously. Remove from the flame, add the sugar and mix well. Add the cardamom powder, and mix well. Transfer the mixture into a greased plate and spread it evenly and keep aside for 10 to 15 minutes. Cool completely. Roll each ladoo in poppy seeds till they are evenly coated from all the sides. Store in an airtight container.
